Frog Pond Scenario
Having such a rich terrain base for my beloved army, I decided to play a battle (1,2k points 6th edition with home rules) with a friend on a specially prepared scenario, which assumed using one of the previously designed terrains - a pond with frogs. Legend says that powerful magic lies in its waters. There are few who are worthy of possessing its secrets, because the poorly-willed adventurers are in danger of being turned into one of the cheerfully crouching frogs. In short, the army which scores the most points wins. How do you gain them? Well, the heroes located 15' from the center of the pond perform an LD test. If they resist its alluring powers, the player whose hero had to do the test gets points. However, if he falls, he is turned into the aforementioned frog. His fate is not fully sealed. He has a chance to return to his original shape by passing the LD test again in his next turn. If he does not do so, he will forever become a royal frog with a crown on his head.
Unfortunately, despite the blessing of Lady of the Lake, the battle did not go as I thought and eventually my opponent won with a minimal of 4 points. However, I am more saddened by the unit of the Knights of the Realm, who seeing the effects of the mighty power of the Warp Lighting spell thrown by the Warlock Engineer, abandoned the battlefield in disgrace along with the Standard Army Bearer. On the other hand, the Chieftain carrying the Sacred Standard of the Horned Rat was turned into a royal frog and till the end of the game he hunted flies in the pond.
