Emma the Emerald Maiden
Today, I present to you the Damsel of the Lady model for my Bretonnia army. This is a prototype version, and the final model looks different. In a way, that makes this miniature unique. The creator is Giuseppe Chiafele from Axia Miniatures.

Emma was no ordinary Damsel of the Lady. From a young age, she stood apart from the other initiates - not only because of her exceptional bond with the Lore of Life but also due to the eerie aura that seemed to surround her. Her eyes gleamed like polished emeralds, and her hair carried a deep green hue, as if woven from the essence of Bretonnia’s ancient forests.

Born in Nature’s Embrace
Legend tells that Emma was born during a powerful storm deep within the Châlons Glade. Her mother, a humble peasant woman, sought shelter beneath an ancient oak as labor pains overtook her. At that moment, lightning split the sky - not with the usual fiery brilliance, but with a soft, green glow that bathed the tree in an otherworldly radiance. The Prophetesses of the Lady, who had foreseen this birth in their visions, arrived soon after. Seeing the child wrapped in the shimmering aura of nature’s magic, they knew she was chosen. Without hesitation, they took her, as they did with all gifted girls, to be raised in the sacred enclaves of the Lady’s order.

Even among the other Damsels-in-training, Emma’s connection to nature was unparalleled. Flowers bloomed at her touch, parched earth flourished beneath her feet, and even wounded animals seemed to find peace in her presence. While others struggled to control their spells, her magic wove itself seamlessly into the world around her, as if she were an extension of nature itself.

The Emerald Maiden
Her true name was nearly forgotten over time, for the moment she first demonstrated her full power, she earned her title. During a battle against the foul creatures of Chaos, Emma stood alone at the heart of a great clearing, raising her hands toward the sky. A vibrant emerald light erupted around her as roots surged from the earth, ensnaring the enemy and crushing them in nature’s grasp. From that day forward, she was no longer just Emma - she became the Emerald Maiden, her presence as striking and enduring as the gemstone itself.

Protector of Bretonnia
Now, as a Damsel of the Lady, Emma rides alongside the noblest knights, offering her magic and blessings in service of Bretonnia. It is said that when she casts her spells, the air fills with the scent of rain-kissed leaves, and her emerald eyes reflect the glow of the Lady’s sacred waters. Some whisper that she is no mere sorceress but a living spirit of the land, the will of nature made flesh.

Wherever she walks, life flourishes. And wherever her enemies stand, they soon learn - Emma the Emerald Maiden is no mere maiden at all, but the storm, the forest, and the wrath of the Lady herself.
